Fondues for every taste!

Cooking "fondue" means cooking on an open flame so there are a certain safety measures that should be observed to fully enjoy your fondue ?

  • Always use a coloured alcohol in the burner so you can see the flame. When the meal is finished, always put out the flame with the snuffer provided with your burner.
  • Test to make sure the flame is out and if not sure, spray a little water on it.
  • The use of a tablecloth when serving fondue is not recommended.
  • Heat the oil or broth on the stovetop for 15 minutes before pouring it carefully into the fondue dish.
  • To prevent spatters, always pat the pieces of meat dry with paper towels so that they will not be too wet when you cook them.
  • If you are using oil in your fondue dish, adding a thick slice of raw potato will keep the oil from sizzling when it comes into contact with the meat.
  • Chicken should always be served well done so verify the doneness of the chicken before adding a sauce or other condiments.
