Two Treasures to Discover
One of the wonders of the world is the water's
bounteous variety of fish. Tasty, nutritious and easy to make -
fish has it all. This week, we invite you to discover two
completely different fish: tuna and tilapia.
If you’ve had sushi, then you’ve probably eaten raw tuna. Tuna is considered a fatty fish (4-5% fat) with known health benefits. Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, it helps reduce the risk of blood clots and heart disease.
Try the recipe for Cajun-style Tuna and discover the fine flavour of tuna. No need to be a master chef to enjoy tuna because it’s quick and easy to cook. Figure 3-4 minutes per side for grilled tuna and 5-6 minutes per side for poached, baked or steamed tuna. Truly adventurous souls may be tempted to try Tuna Tartare, which takes less than 15 minutes to prepare.
One taste and old and young alike fall in love this sweet, succulent white-fleshed fish. Tilapia has practically bone-free, firm flesh that doesn’t fall apart during cooking. Tickle your taste buds with easy-to-make Tilapia Filet a la Provençale.
