Bocourti (Pangasius Catfish)

Bocourti (Pangasius catfish) is known as Mekong catfish and shark catfish. This particular variety has become popular in Mekong Delta fishfarms in the past ten years. The Bocourti is a fresh water fish.

The adult bocourti can reach 1.30 metre and weigh up to 45 kilograms. Despite its shark-like appearance, the bocourti is very inoffensive. Omnivirous, it eats mostly shellfish, small fish and algae.

Bocourti is boneless. It has fine white flesh and a pronounced taste.
