December 8, 2005 - Once again, METRO Participates in the 2005 Medias Grande Guignolée (Holiday food drive)

(Montreal, December 8, 2005) — For the fifth year in a row, METRO is proud to participate again in the 200e Media Grande Guignolée (Holiday food drive) by donating a $65,000.00 worth of non-prerishable goods, including Merit Selection private label products.

“It gives us great pleasure to participate in the Media Grande Guignolée again for the fifth year in a row. METRO INC. has always done its utmost to be a good corporate citizen in all the communities where it does business. It’s only natural that we should do our part in helping the less fortunate, especially during this festive season,” explained Mr. Serge Boulanger, Vice-President, Marketing at Metro.
