Saint-Lazare, Monday, May 15, 2006—The Brunet branch formerly located at 1710 rue Sainte-Angélique, owned by pharmacists Marilou Leduc and Jocelyn Quinton, is getting a new look at a new location nearby at 1771 rue Sainte-Angélique.
“The pharmacy was getting much too small and no longer fit with the latest trends in the pharmacy market. We decided to move into a brand new building on the other side of the street,” indicated Mr. Jocelyn Quinton, co-owner of the Brunet branch.
The 7,926 sq. ft. space will include the 6,860 sq. ft. pharmacy and the Saint-Lazare Medical Clinic, which is also moving so both facilities will still be right next to each other. The project entailed $1.5 million in investments and created two new jobs, bringing the total number of employees to 14, including the owners.
The considerably more modern and spacious new location will offer a wider selection of cosmetic products, in addition to its natural products section, orthopedic sale and rental department, and digital photo counter offering photo development in under a minute. Two new departments will also be added—products for people with diabetes and an entertainment and relaxation area with books and CDs.
Owned by METRO RICHELIEU INC., the Brunet banner is celebrating its 151st anniversary this year. Much of its incredible growth is due to its continual efforts to improve the products and services it offers. In the coming years, Brunet plans to open a number of new outlets, all offering its unique and inventive take on the pharmacy world.
