(Montreal, August 23, 2006) – It is with great
pride that Metro joins Feed a child, a special program sponsored by
the Endeavours of Cardinal Léger, which has grown in popularity for
the past six years. Through this involvement, METRO demonstrates
once more its commitment to improving the well-being of the
communities in which it operates.
Metro will put its network 239 supermarkets scattered throughout
the province of Quebec at the disposal of Feed a child.
From August 26th to September 10th, clients will be invited to
contribute financially to Feed a child by making a
donation in the special collection boxes located at the cash.
In order to ensure the success of this campaign, Metro will call on
its clients’ generosity through the weekly circular of August 28th.
Metro’s web site www.metro.ca will also offer recipes designed by
the young students of the Fourchettes de l’espoir culinary
school.
