employees ratify a 9 year collective agreement
(Montreal, December 8, 2006) – METRO is pleased to announce that it has reached a long term agreement with the 315 employees of its Montreal grocery warehouse who went on strike on November 24. The settlement was ratified today and the new collective agreement will be in force for nine years, thereby ensuring labour peace until 2015 under terms that will allow the company to remain competitive in the industry.
Employees are expected to return to work on December 10.
