MONTREAL, January 18, 2007 - Journalists are invited to attend METRO's Annual Shareholders Meeting and a news briefing after the meeting adjourns. During the meeting, METRO will discuss various subjects and will present the results for the first quarter of fiscal 2006-2007.

Journalists who wish to attend the Annual Meeting must present themselves at the "Media" table. Question period is reserved exclusively for shareholders during the Annual General Meeting.
