ETOBICOKE, ON February 28, 2007 – Georgetown
residents can enjoy a new A&P location conveniently located at
367 Mountainview Road, beginning Wednesday, February 28, 2007. The
new 39,000 sq. ft. store features A&P’s latest layout and décor
elements as well as a full service pharmacy and the popular Fresh 2
Go area catering to customers on the go. More than 170 jobs have
been created for Georgetown as a result of the new store.
“We are taking our fresh obsession to new heights with our new
A&P store in Georgetown”, said Doug Brummer, Vice President,
Marketing & Corporate Development. “Customers will be impressed
with our fresh offering including our gourmet meat counter; our
unparalleled seafood department with temperature humidity
controlled cases; our bakery, where we bake 27 varieties of bread
three times a day; and an extensive fresh produce selection - all
of which are backed by our Fresh or Free guarantee.”
To mark the unveiling of the new store, Vice President,
Conventional Operations, Vince Bertrand joined by Vice President,
Conventional Operations, West Division, Bob Seguin, and Store
Manager, Vic Valliere for the opening ceremonies on Wednesday,
February 28th. Children from St. Brigid School Choir treated
customers to a performance of the national anthem and the first 500
customers received a fresh bouquet of flowers.
Other in-store activities include free demonstrations, face
painting and airbrush tattoo artists for the kids on Wednesday,
February 28th, Saturday, March 3rd and Sunday March 4th between
10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., giveaways and free coffee.

Fresh 2 Go
The Fresh 2 Go department provides customers with relief from the
pressures of preparing fresh, quality meals for their families.
- Stone baked pizza fire roasted in a stone oven to give it an extra crispy crust. A&P customers can pick up and take home a fully baked hot pizza in one of eight varieties.
- Get hot meals fast in the deli department including the popular chicken and rib duo.
- Classic Italian sandwiches, made traditionally in A&P’s own panini press are available at the panini counter. These hot sandwiches are stuffed with the freshest ingredients and grilled to perfection.
- Hand rolled sushi is freshly prepared and is a perfect light lunch option.
- Customers can indulge in one of 16 delicious flavours of Gelato, unique to A&P and freshly made in-store.
Full Service Floral Department
Our certified floral designer can create unique floral arrangements
for any occasion, including specially-created, affordable wedding
packages and funeral arrangements. Customers also have the added
convenience of selecting a Fresh Obsessions 10-Day bouquet for
$10.00. With easy-to-follow care instructions, flowers are
guaranteed to last for 10 days or they can be returned to the store
with the receipt for a free, fresh bouquet.
Patisserie L’éclair
Patisserie L’éclair offers a wide selection of decadent desserts
and brings the small bakery shop feeling into the A&P store.
All pastries are made fresh, in-store using only the finest
ingredients of 35% real cream, Belgian chocolate, fresh fruits and
chocolate ganache.
Pharmacy
Our pharmacists and staff are dedicated to delivering exceptional
customer services. Drop off your prescription while you shop for
groceries and it will be ready when you return. If you have a
prescription at another pharmacy, it’s easy to transfer your
prescription. Just tell your Pharmacist your prescription number
and the pharmacy you currently use and he or she will make all the
arrangements, it’s that easy!
