Etobicoke, ON, March 19, 2008 – Residents from
Cobourg are invited to experience the freshest A&P store on
1111 Elgin St. West in Cobourg on Friday, March 28. The 27,466 sq.
ft. store cost $4 million when the renovation began in September
and just recently completed.
This store features the latest A&P state of the art equipment
in the service departments. One of the most exciting additions is
the Smoker & Carvery at the store. Customer can enjoy hot and
fresh Red Grill Angus Roast Beef, Applewood Smoked Chicken, and
Maple Smoked Pork. Also new is the Fresh 2 Go Ready Meal kits,
quick, easy and delicious meal solutions available in four
international tastes; Indian, Bistro, Chinese and Thai.
“We want to thank everyone for their excitement during the
remodeling of this store and we are certain they will be impressed
with our new smoker and carvery and fresh product selection
including our new Fresh 2 Go department, and full service Bakery
with new mini pastries and specialty cookies,” said John Burke,
store manager. “Everything about this store is fresh obsessed from
our fresh department décor to our extensive produce
department.”
To celebrate this fresh grand re-opening, the first 500 customers
will receive one of A&P’s signature re-usable shopping bags.
John and his 50 new staff, are proud to show off their remodeled
store with the newest A&P décor and departments.
Other in-store activities taking place on March 28th product
tastings of key signature items in the store during the weekend,
like Fresh 2 Go pizza and Fresh 2 Go ready meals. Customers also
have a chance to win 10,000 AIR MILES reward miles.

A&P bakes 27 varieties of bread three times a day and offers a
truly special selection of Artisan bread. New in the Bakery
Department are the mini pastries and specialty cookies. There is a
