(Montreal, March 20th, 2008) - Last night, Mr. André Leblanc, affiliated owner, inaugurated his new METRO store located at 45, Albert-Ferland in Chénéville, during an official ceremony attended by a number of dignitaries, guests and clients.

With an investment of $6 million, Mr. Leblanc can now offer his clientele a bigger and more modern supermarket, currently covering 30,000 square feet, an increase of 13,000 square feet. Thanks to this relocation, 8 new jobs have been added to the 45 jobs offered during the winter season, and the 90 offered during the summer.

“I purchased the Marché Dinel in Chénéville, in the Petite-Nation valley of the Outaouais region, in 1981. At the time, the store only covered 2,000 square feet. Over the years, I had the opportunity to surround myself with dedicated employees, and I was able to expand the store little by little. Today, I’m very proud to provide my long-term faithful clients with a magnificent store covering 30,000 square feet.” Mr. Leblanc is also the co-owner of 4 other Metro and Metro Plus food stores in the area.

This new Metro store will provide its clients with the best the food world has to offer. While browsing the aisles of the supermarket, consumers will discover a store that offers them more services and products under one roof. Among other things, they will find a deli counter filled with fines meats, a huge assortment of prepared foods, and a fruit and vegetable section that is twice as big as before, with a counter of pre-cut produce. Seafood lovers will be delighted with the new bigger fish counter where they will find an even greater selection of fish and shellfish. Twenty new wines have been added to the wine and spirits section and the beer fridge is filled with a wide variety of imported beers. Finally, the supermarket will offer a broad range of beauty and health products at very competitive prices.

The owner of Metro Leblanc Chénéville is very proud to present his region with a superbly reorganized supermarket, featuring a welcoming décor where warm, friendly and highly professional service is a priority.
