December 3, 2008 - Expansion work on Metro Plus Laroche et fils Inc. in St-Étienne-de-Lauzon is complete

(Montreal, December 3, 2008) – Following the renovations at Metro Plus Laroche et fils Inc., residents of St-Étienne-de-Lauzon will find more solutions to their varied and growing grocery needs. With over 32,000 square feet of floor space, the Metro Plus located at 982 Lagueux will offer:

A wider variety of grocery items
A revamped fruits and vegetables section
A wide range of cheeses
Many organic products
A new full-service fish counter
Seafood sold in bulk
Viandes et Idées counter
A variety of high-end water
A wider selection of microbrewed beer
A tasty variety of balanced, home-cooked meals prepared in store by a chef
A pastry counter
Fritou fried chicken

Customers will not only find a wide array of choices for their daily meal needs, but also a large selection of brand name beauty and health products at prices comparable to those in pharmacies.

The expansion will generate 15 new jobs in addition to the 90 existing ones.

Marcel and Bertrand Laroche, affiliated owners of this Metro Plus, have been working in the food sector for more than 30 years. Their entire team would like to invite the local community to come and meet them, and to enjoy a unique food-shopping experience.
