The leader in the Quebec food industry is offering three
programs to help Quebecers save on quality products
Montreal, February 12, 2009 – In order to give its
customers more value for their money, Metro is offering three
programs to help customers save without compromising on quality and
variety:
• Red Flag Value Program
• Selection – Compare. Save.
• Irresistibles – Excellence at an exceptional
price.
"Given the current state of the economy, Metro is assuming the lead
in the food industry by taking action to help customers save in
every way possible," says Serge Boulanger, Vice-President,
Marketing, Metro Inc.
With the Red Flag program, the savings go on for aisles with lower
prices on thousands of products in all categories and throughout
our 222 Metro supermarkets across Quebec. To know more on the items
covered by the program, customers can refer to Metro’s weekly
flyer, the metro.ca site and the free Metro newsletter.
In addition, the Metro newsletter gives numerous opportunities for
customers to save, with a personalized menu every week which
contains a wealth of money-saving tips and information on how to
prepare affordable meals.
Metro’s private label brands Selection and
Irresistibles continue to offer premium quality without
premium price, which is why Metro is mounting a large-scale
promotional program to help its customers easily identify these
high-quality products, priced 10 to 15 and even 30 % lower than
national brands.
"All these initiatives prove the extent to which Metro is assuming
its role as leader in the Quebec food industry."
