Etobicoke, ON – October 8, 2009 – Metro, a
leading Ontario grocery chain, has teamed up with the Ottawa
Senators Hockey Club in a five-year agreement beginning with the
2009 -2010 National Hockey League season.
“We are thrilled to be the exclusive partner and official grocery
retailer for the Ottawa Senators,” said Marc Giroux, Vice
President of Marketing, Metro Inc. Metro is about bringing people
together for food at its best and the Senators brings hockey fans
together for hockey at its best, so there is great synergy
here.”
Metro and the Senators will launch the introduction of the Metro
Family 4 Pack and their partnership during the two Thanksgiving
weekend games against the Atlanta Thrashers on Saturday, October 10
and the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday, October 12. The Metro Family
4 Pack offers four tickets, four drinks and four hotdogs for $99 at

“Metro’s ticket package now allows more fans the opportunity to
enjoy Senators, games and the package includes food and beverage,”
said Senators President Cyril Leeder. “And with more fans in the
stands supporting our team, we know our players also appreciate
Metro’s assistance in filling the seats at Scotiabank Place and
