Val-d’Or, Quebec, November 16, 2009 – Super C is proud to sponsor Val-d'Or's 75th anniversary by making a $50,000 contribution to help fund the 2010 festivities.

"Super C is delighted to assist the organizing committee plan a full, varied and innovative schedule of events. We want to celebrate this vibrant community's fascinating history in our own special way," states Jean-Guy Tremblay, Vice-President, Operations, Super C.

He also pointed out that Val-d'Or's 75th anniversary coincides with the official opening, in February 2010, of the first-ever Super C discount store in Val-d’Or. "It's another great opportunity to acknowledge the importance of the Val-d'Or community," he says.

Ten million dollars has been invested in the Val-d'Or Super C and construction is well underway. The new 3,530-m2 (38,000 sq. ft.) discount store will create some 80 new jobs. This will be the 68th Super C in Quebec.
