(Montreal, November 27, 2009) – Last night,
Jean-Pierre Boucher, affiliated owner of the Metro Plus in
Berthierville and his children, officially opened their newest
store located at 230 Notre-Dame Street. Local residents will now
find more variety to meet their every grocery need.
Not only does the grocery store provide customers with many daily
meal options, but it also contains different sections offering:
- A wide range of Quebec cheeses
- A precut fruit and vegetable section
- An international products aisle
- A master butcher and a gourmet fish counter
- A larger variety of Red Grill Angus beef
- An Aki Sushi counter
- A greater assortment of organic products
- A bistro with freshly ground coffee daily
- Hundreds of health and beauty products at very competitive prices
- A bakery counter where bread is baked fresh daily
The Boucher family is pleased to offer its customers a modern
and inviting store spanning more than 37,000 sq. ft. The Metro Plus
has also created 60 jobs in the community.
"This store was designed adhering to the new Metro Plus concepts
which enable customers to navigate more freely and to find what
they need quickly and easily. It is important that we are able to

noted Jean-Pierre Boucher, owner of the Berthierville store.
Mr. Boucher has been working in the food sector in affiliation with
Metro for more than 30 years. It all started when the first Metro
store opened in Ste-Mélanie, which is now owned by Éric Boucher.
The family has opened a number of other stores over the years,
including one in Rawdon in 1988, St-Jean-de-Matha in 2000, St-Donat
in 2002, St-Félix in January 2009 and, finally, in Berthierville
today.
