Montreal, April 15, 2010 – Thanks to an investment of $9 million, customers at Metro Plus Leblanc in Terrebonne can now look forward to shopping at a much more spacious store with a wider range of products. Relocated in the shopping centre at 1375 Grande-Allée Blvd.  in Terrebonne, Metro Plus Leblanc has expanded from 14,000 sq. ft. to 42,000 sq. ft., creating 30 new jobs in the process.

Last night, Metro Plus Leblanc's owners, André and Pierre Leblanc, were thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of their new store during a ceremony attended by several dignitaries, guests and customers, who also got a chance to see the renovations made to the Grande-Allée Blvd. shopping centre. Renovations to the shopping centre was a $14 million investment.

"We are very proud of the results! Metro Plus Leblanc customers will find the store stocked with a greater variety of products to meet their varied and growing grocery needs," stated the owners.

In fact, the store will now feature hundreds of new products, including a selection of cut fruits and vegetables; a wide range of Quebec and imported cheeses; numerous organic and gluten-free products; a master butcher service and gourmet fish counter; a self-serve bulk seafood counter; a bakery department with pastries and bread baked fresh daily; and an international aisle featuring an increasing choice of products from Italy.

Every day, customers at Metro Plus Leblanc can enjoy a wide selection of balanced dishes cooked in-store and a wealth of meal ideas. The store also carries a full line of health and beauty products at prices competitive with pharmacies. A dedicated team of 90 people are ready to greet customers every day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., as well as provide home delivery service.

The Leblanc Group, active in the grocery industry for over 30 years under the Metro banner, employs some 700 people.
