Val-David, February 11—Last night, Jacques Dufresne, owner, and his manager, Michel Vincent, from Metro Dufresne et fils, located in the heart of Val-David, were proud to welcome Laurentians residents to their newly expanded supermarket. Thanks to an investment of over $4 million, the store has gone from 15,315 sq. ft. to 18,925 sq. ft. With this expansion, the new store will offer local residents more solutions for their growing and varied food needs. It includes:
- A wider variety of grocery items;
- A selection of cut fruits and vegetables;
- A wide range of Quebec and imported cheeses;
- A master butcher and a gourmet fish counter;
- A counter with fresh bread and pastries baked daily;
- Numerous organic and gluten-free products;
- A vast selection of beauty and health products at competitive prices.
Mr. Dufresne and his team would like to invite the population of
Val David and the surrounding area to come meet them, and discover
their new supermarket, with its inspiring decor, in line with
customers' latest preferences.
The Dufresne family has worked in the food industry since 1909.
Offering their community a supermarket that meets their needs and
their expectations, now that's a great way to close out their
centennial year.
Proud of his long-standing involvement in the arts and culture
scene, Mr. Dufresne was able to brilliantly incorporate a
monumental work of art into the building's architecture. This piece
by renowned artist René Derouin will be unveiled in spring 2010,
and will make Métro Dufresne et fils one-of-a-kind.
