Montreal, February 18, 2010 – Last night, Serge Bourgeault, affiliated owner of Metro Plus Marché Bourgeault in St-Gabriel-de-Brandon, celebrated the end of renovations at his store located at 160 St-Gabriel Street, during a ceremony attended by several dignitaries, guests and customers.

The store was extensively renovated to keep up with current trends and to meet customers' expectations. The renovations included increasing the store's surface area from 27,000 to 42,000 square feet, an increase of 15,000 square feet. The new store will now offer local residents more solutions for their growing and varied food needs, including:

• A wider variety of grocery items;
• A wider selection of cut fruits and vegetables;
• A vast range of Quebec and imported cheeses;
• A catering service;
• Numerous organic and gluten-free products;
• Master butchers and a gourmet fish counter;
• A self-serve bulk seafood counter;
• A modern “café bistro” with Internet access;
• A bakery with fresh pastries and bread baked daily;
• A tasty variety of balanced, home-cooked meals;
• A selection of home-made chocolates.

Metro Plus Marché Bourgeault will provide customers with a wealth of daily meal options and a vast selection of beauty and health products at prices comparable to those in pharmacies.

Some ten jobs were created by this major renovation project, in addition to the 100 existing jobs.

Serge Bourgeault has worked in the grocery industry under the Metro banner for over 40 years.
