Montreal, February 25, 2010 – Noëlla Lebel and
Jean-Yves Lebel, owners of Metro Mont-Royal, now located at 2275
Mont-Royal Street, in Montreal, are proud to announce the grand
opening of their new supermarket to Plateau residents. The
traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, which took place this morning,
was attended by several dignitaries, guests and customers.
The new Metro Mont-Royal was built to meet the growing and varied
food needs of its customers. This modern store is designed to meet
the highest expectations of today's consumer. The relocation
project, which required an investment of over $5 million, has added
more than 10,000 sq. ft. of space to the store, bringing the
surface area to 17,000 sq. ft. In addition, some twenty new jobs
were created, in addition to the 80 existing jobs.
Neighbourhood residents can now find more solutions to their food
needs at this new Metro, which sets itself apart with its superior
range of products, including:
- A wider variety of grocery items;
- A larger selection of cut fruits and vegetables;
- A master butcher and a gourmet fish counter;
- An Aki Sushi counter, with fresh sushi prepared in store daily by a master sushi chef;
- A self-serve counter offering chicken wings and seafood in bulk;
- A modern lunch area, ideal for sipping a coffee and relaxing;
- A bakery counter with service, and bread baked fresh daily.
Customers will find not only a wide array of choices for their
daily meal needs, but also a large selection of brand-name health
and beauty products at prices comparable to those in
pharmacies.
Mr. and Mrs. Lebel, as well as Yves Sauvageau, and their team would
like to invite residents of the Plateau and the surrounding area to
come and meet them, and discover a truly unique food
experience.
