METRO links up with RÉSEAU environnement
METRO is pleased
to announce that it will be one of Réseau
Environnement’s circulation partners. METRO will be involved
by displaying information concerning Réseau
Environnement’s mission in all its stores.

For over thirty years, RÉSEAU environnement, a non-profit
organization, has been organizing an annual awareness campaign to
save drinking water in Quebec municipalities, in collaboration with
the Ministère des affaires municipales et des régions
and the Ministère du développement durable, de
l’environnement et des parcs.
This year’s campaign is geared towards awareness of a more
moderate and rational approach to using water in the home, as well
as modifying behaviors concerning abusive usage of water outside
the home. The campaign will be launched on June 2nd for the summer
season
METRO's implication
As a corporate citizen, METRO is preoccupied with environmental
issues and is aware of the importance of managing natural resources
in a responsible way, as well as promoting the advantages of
responsible management throughout its network of stores. The
company has demonstrated its commitment to the environment with the
launch of an internal awareness campaign, “Leave It
Greener”, and considers this new initiative as an extension
of its existing campaign.
