Quick and Easy!

Veal, pork, lamb, chicken and beef liver are all tender and tasty when not overcooked. Quick and easy to make, liver is an excellent weekday meal solution. Dredge liver in flour and cook about 2-3 minutes per side in a little oil until pinkish brown for a toothsome treat. Overcooking liver makes it tough and stronger-tasting. Frozen liver must be thawed before cooking.

Mustard, fried bacon, roasted onions, creamy garlic sauce and tomato sauce with olives are all delicious with liver. Liver doesn’t require a whole host of other ingredients to deliver taste. It can be served as the main dish or a salad. See our recipe for warm poultry salad with raspberry vinegar.
