Recipe ingredients
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb. (450 g) lean ground beef
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) butter
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) oil
- 28 oz. (796 mL) canned diced tomatoes *
- 14 oz. (398 mL) canned tomato sauce *
- 5 drops Tabasco sauce
- 3 green and red peppers, diced
- 8 Tacos.
Preparation
In a pan, brown onion, garlic and beef in a butter/oil blend. Cook 8 to 10 minutes.
Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and Tabasco sauce. Mix well and simmer uncovered over medium heat 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Add peppers, season and cook 10 to 15 minutes more.
Serve in tacos.
Suggestion
For a spicier taste, add 2 tsp. (10 mL) crushed chillies.* We recommend Selection and Irresistibles products.
