Recipe ingredients
- 2 oranges
- 2 2/3 cup (660 mL) fresh or canned mango, peeled and chopped
- 6 onions, sliced
- 1 cup (250 mL) sugar
- 1 1/2 cup (375 mL) raisins*
- 3 2/3 cups (910 mL) malt vinegar
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) salt
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) mustard seed
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) turmeric
- 2 green chili peppers
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed.
Preparation
Remove the zest from 2 oranges.
Remove the pith from the oranges and chop the flesh.
Put all ingredients in a pan. Bring to a boil and simmer 30 to 40 minutes or until thick and syrupy.
Pour chutney in sterilised jars and cool.
Seal.
Suggestion
