Recipe ingredients
- 2 small eggplants
- 2 lb. (1 kg) medium ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) finely chopped celery
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) ketchup
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) oatmeal
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) soya sauce
- 1 large egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 160*C/325*F.
Steam the eggplants and purée them.
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients together.
Shape them into a roll with the prepared mixture.
Put them into a rectangular mould of 1.5 litres (6 cups).
Cover with a sheet of aluminum foil and cook in the oven at 160*C/325*F for 1 hour to 1 1/4 hours.
Suggestion
To avoid shaping the prepared mixture into a roll. put it directly into a bread mould.* We recommend Selection and Irresistibles products.
