Recipe ingredients
- 3 lb (1.5 kg) uncooked boneless ham
- 3 whole cloves
- 2 garlic cloves cut in half
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) beer
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) molasses
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) dry mustard
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) chopped fresh thyme or dry thyme 2 tsp. (10 mL)
- 1 onion, cut in quarters
- 3 carrots, cut in coins
- 3 celery stalks, julienned
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 230ºC (450ºF).
Spike the ham with cloves and garlic cloves. Place it in an oven dish.
Mix the beer, molasses, dry mustard and thyme in a bowl.
Pour over the ham.
Add the vegetables and cover.
Cook in the oven for 45 minutes.
Serve with asparagus and seasoned rice.
