Recipe ingredients
- 8 slices of crusty bread
- 8 slices of mozzarella
- Topping
- 1/2 lb. (225 g) smoked salmon, sliced
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) extra virgin olive oil*
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) capers
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 lemon grated zest
- 16 large shrimp, cooked shelled
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°F / 180°C.
Blend all topping ingredients, except the shrimp, together well in a blender. Set aside.
Toast the bread in the oven. Turn bread over and cover with mozzarella. Return to oven until cheese melts.
Put some smoked salmon mix over melted cheese and top with shrimp.
Serve warm.
Suggestion
Garnish with sliced lemon, chopped black olives and fresh parsley.Substitute steamed mussels for shrimp.* We recommend Selection and Irresistibles products.
