Recipe ingredients
- 4 Gril Rouge rib steaks
- MARINADE :
- 1 cup (250 mL) chili sauce*
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) red wine
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) canola oil*
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) fresh thyme
- or 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) dried thyme
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) fresh-squeezed lemon juice
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- Ground black peppercorns to taste
Preparation
In a bowl, mix marinade ingredients together.
Put meat in a shallow baking dish, pour marinade over steaks, coating them well.
Refrigerate 12 hrs. (maximum 24 hrs.).
Preheat barbecue to medium.
Put steaks on the grill and cook 4-5 min. per side to desired degree of doneness. Baste meat
with marinade during cooking.
Suggestion
The steaks can also be done in a skillet. Heat 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) oil and cook steaks 4-5 min. per side to desired degree of doneness.* We recommend Selection and Irresistibles products.
