Recipe ingredients
- 3 1/2 cups (875 mL) hulled, sliced, fresh strawberries
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) sugar*
- 1 1/2-oz. (15-g) packet of gelatin
- 1 prebaked 9-in. (23-cm) pie shell
Preparation
Purée 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) strawberries in the blender.
In a pot, bring puréed strawberries and sugar to a boil. Stir in gelatin.
Remove from heat and strain. Set aside.
Put remaining strawberries in pie shell, pour hot strawberry coulis over them.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hrs. before serving.
Suggestion
Decorate to taste with whipped cream, fresh mint and chocolate shavings just before serving.* We recommend Selection and Irresistibles products.
