Recipe ingredients
- 3 slices pumpernickel, about ¾-in. (2-cm) thick
- 1/2 lb. (225 g) creamy goat cheese
- 4 tsp. (20 mL) table cream*
- 1 130-g package smoked Sockeye salmon, cut into thin strips
- Coarse black pepper and capers to taste
Preparation
Cut pumpernickel into 1x2-in. (2.5x5-cm) pieces.
In a bowl, mix goat cheese and cream together.
Spread mixture on pieces of bread.
Top with smoked salmon, capers and pepper.
