Recipe ingredients

  • 4 cups (1 L) farfalle pasta
  • 2 slices bacon, finely diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • 1 cup (250 mL) sliced coffee mushrooms
  • 1 cup (250 mL) chicken bouillon* or white wine
  • 1 lb. (450 g) cooked turkey or chicken, diced
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) milk
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) Merit Selection cream
  • 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) chopped fresh chives

Preparation

Cook pasta according to package instructions. Set aside.
In a skillet, cook bacon, garlic, onion and mushrooms 5 min., stirring.
Add bouillon or wine and simmer 10 min.
Stir in cream, chicken or turkey and simmer 3-4 min. until sauce has thickened. If necessary, add cornstarch.
Pour sauce over farfalle and sprinkle with chives.
