Recipe ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) Irresistibles extra virgin olive oil*
- 1 Tbsp. (10 mL) sesame oil
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) pine nuts
- 2 tsp. (10 mL) fresh chopped oregano
- Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
- 4 inside round steaks
- 4 slices cheese
Preparation
In a skillet, heat oils and brown onions and pine nuts for about 2 minutes. Add oregano, salt and pepper. Set aside.
In a skillet, cook steak 3-5 minutes on one side. Turn and top steak with onion-pine nut mixture and a slice of cheese. Cook 3-5 more minutes.Set aside in a warm oven.
Suggestion
To vary the flavour, substitute 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) walnut oil for the olive and sesame oils.* We recommend Selection and Irresistibles products.
