Recipe ingredients
- 4 pears, peeled and diced
- 1 piece of fresh ginger, finely chopped
- 1 lemon, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) walnuts chopped*
- 3/4 cup (180 mL) white wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) sugar
- 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp (2 mL) cayenne pepper
Preparation
In a casserole, place the ingredients and bring to a boil.
Let simmer about 60 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
Remove from heat and let cool completely.
Suggestion
For a different taste, add fresh seedless grapes cut in two (or raisins) and a cinnamon stick.* We recommend Selection and Irresistibles products.
