Recipe ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) olive oil*
  • 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) butter*
  • 4 cups (1 L) any vegetables (carrots, rutabaga, asparagus, parsnips, cauliflower, broccoli, etc.), in pieces, cooked al dente
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) SIROBEC maple syrup
  • 1-2 Tbsp. (15-30 mL) lemon juice
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Preparation

In a large skillet, melt oil and butter together over medium heat. Cook vegetables for 4-5 minutes. Season to taste.
Add maple syrup and lemon juice, bring to a boil and reduce to glaze vegetables. Adjust seasoning.
