Recipe ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb (675 g) lean ground beef
- 1 cup (250 mL) fine breadcrumbs
- 2/3 cup (160 mL) beef broth
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) finely chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp (2 mL) garlic salt
- 1 can (7 1/2 oz/213 mL) pizza sauce
- 2 cups (500 mL) shredded Canadian Havarti
- Pizza toppings: sliced mushrooms, green peppers, olives, etc.
- 2 Tbsp (30 mL) grated Canadian Parmesan
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C.
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, broth, egg, onion and garlic salt. Press evenly into bottom of 12-inch (30 cm) pizza pan; forming a 1/2 inch (1 cm) rim around edge of pan.
Spread pizza sauce over meat. Sprinkle cheese and pizza toppings over sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan.
Bake 20 minutes or until meat is cooked. Cut into wedges and serve immediately.
