Recipe ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) whole-wheat flour*
- Pinch sea salt
- Pinch ground white pepper
- 2 eggs*
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) first press sesame oil
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) sesame seeds
- 2 tsp. (10 mL) poppy seeds
- 4 bison hip steaks
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) first press sesame oil
Preparation
In a bowl, combine flour with salt and pepper. Set aside.
In another bowl, whisk eggs and oil together. Set aside.
In another bowl, combine sesame seeds and poppy seeds. Set aside.
Dredge bison steaks with flour.
Dip steaks in egg mix.
Roll steaks in seeds.
Pan-fry on medium 3 – 4 minutes per side.
Suggestion
