Recipe ingredients

  • 12 European sausages (garden and Toulouse with spinach)
  • 1 cup (250 mL) 1% M.F. plain yoghurt
  • 1/2 (125 mL) cup diced fresh cucumber
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) chopped fresh chives
  • 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) chopped fresh mint
  • 1 tsp. (5 mL) Cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Preheat the barbecue to medium.
Prick sausages with a fork and blanch in boiling water 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Put sausages on a sheet of oiled aluminium foil.
Cook 6 to 10 minutes, turning often.
In a glass bowl, combine sauce ingredients.
Pour the sauce over the grilled sausages.

Suggestion

Substitute sour cream for a portion of the yoghurt.
