Recipe ingredients

  • 2 tsp. (10 mL) Irresistibles curry powder*
  • 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) Irresistibles extra virgin olive oil*
  • 4 salmon steaks
  • ½ lemon, juice only
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) butter*
  • 2 shallots, chopped
  • ½ cup (125 mL) white wine
  • ½ cup (125 mL) whipping cream, 35% m.f.*
  • 1 sprig fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

In a small bowl, combine curry powder and oil.
Squeeze lemon juice over salmon steaks.
Brush salmon with curry-oil mixture.
Preheat a grill pan or other over medium-high heat.
Put in steaks and cook 2 minutes per side over medium heat.
In a small skillet, simmer butter, shallots and white wine for 1 minute.
Stir in cream and chopped dill. Season to taste.
Spoon shallot sauce over salmon steaks.
