Recipe ingredients
- 2¼ lb. or so (1 kg) beef blade roast
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 onion, minced
- 2 stalks celery, minced
- 2 carrots, sliced thin
- 3 cups (750 mL) beef broth
- ½ cup (125 mL) Hoisin sauce
Preparation
Season the roast.
Put the whole roast in the slow cooker.
Add vegetables, beef broth and hoisin sauce.
Cover and cook on low for 4 – 6 hours until meat is tender.
Suggestion
