Maple-glazed Salmon Steaks

Recipe ingredients
- 4 x 7-oz. (4 x 200-g) fresh salmon steaks
- 1 small onion, minced
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) butter*
- ½ cup (125 mL) Irresistibles maple syrup*
- ½ cup (125 mL) water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
In a large skillet, cook onion in butter over medium-high heat until golden.
Deglaze with maple syrup and water. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low.
Add salmon steaks and cook about 3 minutes per side. Remove salmon and keep warm.
Reduce liquid over high heat until it forms a thick glaze. Season to taste.
Spoon glaze over salmon steaks and serve with celeriac.
