Recipe ingredients

  • 1 3-lb. (1.5 kg) ready-to-eat boneless ham
  • 2 Rio Star grapefruit, juiced
  • 1 Rio Star grapefruit, cut into supremes
  • 1 cup (250 mL) dry white wine
  • 6 Tbsp. (90 mL) honey*
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) cornstarch*
  • ½ cup (125 mL) water

Preparation

Preheat oven to 325oF (160oC).
Score ham and place in roasting pan. Bake for 90 minutes. Remove from the oven.
In a small bowl, combine the grapefruit juice, wine and honey. Pour mixture over the ham and return it to the oven.
Bake for an additional 40 minutes, basting ham with pan juices every 10 minutes.
Remove the ham from the oven and transfer to a platter.
Put the roasting pan on the stove over low heat.
Combine the cornstarch and water and stir into the pan juices.
Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and just boils.
Pour it over the ham. Garnish with grapefruit supremes and serve.
