Recipe ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) butter *
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) Irresistibles extra virgin olive oil *
  • 2 yellow onions, chopped
  • 4 x 5 to 6 oz. (4 x 150 to 180 g) T-bone  
  • 1 cup (250 mL) sliced mushrooms
  • 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) chopped parsley

Preparation

Sauté the onions in butter and oil. Set aside.
Sauté the steak on medium-high heat for 2 to 3 minutes per side.Set aside the steak in the oven at very low temperature.
Add the mushrooms, the onions, Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice. Bring to a boil for about 10 minutes.
Add the parsley and serve.

Suggestion

T-bone steaks are best served rare to medium rare. Overcooked, this cut becomes tough.
