Recipe ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) butter
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb. (450 g) lean beef, from the rump, cut into strips
  • 1 cup (250 mL) broccoli florets
  • 1 tsp. (5 mL) fresh ginger, chopped
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) snow peas
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) green onions

Preparation

Sauté the cloves in a wok, in butter and oil.
Add the beef strips, broccoli and ginger. Cook for about 5 to 7 minutes.
Add the snow peas and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Garnish with chopped green onions.

Suggestion

Cut the beef against the grain.
  • To boost the flavour of the sauté, use sesame oil to cook the ingredients.
