Recipe ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) butter
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) oil
- 1 lb. (450 g) lean beef, from the rump, cut into strips
- 3/4 cup (180 mL) hearts of palm, cut into slices
- 1/3 cup (80 mL) canned mandarins, drained
Preparation
Sauté the strips of beef in a wok, in butter and oil, for about 4 minutes.
Add the hearts of palm and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
Add the mandarins and cook for an additional minute.
Suggestion
To get all the flavour of the beef, make sure that both sides of the strips are well browned.Origin: Chinese
