Recipe ingredients
- 2 lb. (1 kg) ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup (250 mL) stale bread crumbs
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) dried thyme
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) celery seeds
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) paprika
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) sour cream
- 1 cup (250 mL) ketchup
- 1 cup (250 mL) fresh mushrooms, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 160ºC/325ºF.
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients together.
Put into a 20 cm (8 in.) aluminium bread mould and cover with a sheet of aluminum foil or shape into a bread 20 cm (8 in.) long and wrap it in a double sheet of aluminum foil so that the juice does not leak out.
Cook in the oven at 160ºC/325ºF for 1 hour to 1 1/4 hours.
Serve with broccoli florets and grilled zucchinis.
