Recipe ingredients

  • 4 slices liver
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) canned pineapple chunks*, drained
  • 5 Tbsp. (75 mL) pineapple juice
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) Irresistibles soya sauce*
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) water
  • 2-3 Tbsp. (30-45 mL) wheat flour
  • 1 tsp ( 5 mL) butter*
  • 1 tsp ( 5 mL) Irresistibles extra virgin olive oil*
  • 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) tomato paste*
  • 1 pinch Irresistibles cumin*
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Thinly slice beef liver.
Marinate 10 minutes in a mixture of pineapple juice 2 Tbsp.( 30 mL), soya sauce and water; drain meat.
Flour liver strips.
In a frying pan, heat butter and oil at medium-high and brown.Set aside.
Add pineapple chunks and juice and tomato paste.
Add cumin; salt and pepper.
Simmer a few seconds and add minced liver
