Recipe ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups (310 mL) 2% milk or 1% plain yoghurt *
- 1 cup (250 mL) bran flakes cereal*
- 1 ripe banana
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) pasteurised eggs
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) maple syrup * or liquid honey *
- Nutmeg to taste.
Preparation
In the blender jar, put all the ingredients and mix 1 to 2 minutes until frothy.
Pour in glasses or dessert cups and serve right away.
Suggestion
To be safe make sure you use pasteurised eggs in this delicious milkshake. If you use fresh raw eggs, the milkshake mixture must be heated to 160ºF (71ºC) to avoid salmonella food poisoning.Occasion: Brunch
