Recipe ingredients
- 1 lb. (450 g) ground pork chopped
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) quick-cooking oatmeal *
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) Worcestershire sauce
- 1 egg *
- 1 Tbsp. canola oil (15 mL canola oil) *
- 1 1/4 cup (300 mL) chinese garlic sauce.
Preparation
In a bowl, mix all ingredients except oil and Chinese sauce. Shape into meatballs.
In a frying pan, heat oil and sear meatballs.
Drain fat.
Pour Chinese sauce over the meatballs. Simmer 30 minutes, stirring from time to time.
Suggestion
Replace half of the ground pork by crumbled tofu.Origin: Chinese
