Recipe ingredients
- 2 cups (500 mL) dried chick peas or can Irresistibles chick peas*
- 4 Tbsp. (60 mL) cajun spices or curry or dried herbs*
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) vegetable oil *.
Preparation
Dried chick peas: soak chick peas 24 hours.
Drain and rinse chick peas. Put in a pan, cover with cold water and cook about 1 hour.
Drain chick peas again, spread on paper towels and dry at room temperature about 8 hours.
Can chick peas: rinse until water runs clear and drain well.
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)..
In a bowl, combine all ingredients, place the chickpeas on a greased baking sheet.
Roast 30 minutes, stir the chickpeas and cook for 20 minutes, stirring regularly.
