Recipe ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) butter*
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) flour*
- 2 cups (500 mL) 2% milk
- 24 oysters, shucked, with juice or 227 g shucked oysters
- 6 pastry shells
- Fresh chopped chives to taste
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
In a pan, lightly brown butter; whisk in flour and cook mixture 2 minutes.
Add milk and oyster juice and bring to a boil.
Cook over medium heat 5 minutes then add oysters. Set aside.
Heat pastry shells 5 minutes in the oven on a baking sheet; serve filled with oyster sauce.
Top with chives and serve.
